DK Series Grounding Transformer
Grounding transformers—often referred to simply as "grounding transformers"—can be classified as either three-phase or single-phase units based on the number of phases. In systems utilizing Z-type or Y-type connections where a neutral point is not otherwise accessible, the grounding transformer serves to provide a neutral point for the connection of an arc-suppression coil or a resistor. This facilitates grounding methods employing arc-suppression coils or low-resistance grounding, thereby reducing earth-fault capacitive current during ground short-circuit faults and enhancing the reliability of the power distribution system.
